Understanding panel dimensions in integrate

Panel width and height

There are 3 ways to measure a panel:

  1. actual panel size (up to blue line)

  2. visible panel size (up to green line)

  3. visible panel size when covered by bolection moulding (smaller than 1 & 2)

The DrawingBoard only shows number 2. This is because there isn't a way to specify the size of the rebate, or how much of the panel would be covered by bolection moulding. Thus, DrawingBoard panel dimensions remain unchanged when bolection moulding is added.

The variables visible_width_in_mm and visible_height_in_mm on the panel loop use the same values as those displayed in the DrawingBoard.

Panel thickness

This is a recently added property, which can be enabled in DrawingBoard Config > Property Visibility (search Property Filter for panelThickness).  When set to 0, variables such as volume on the sash loop and frame_excl_cill_volume on the item loop will use a built-in default thickness to calculate the panel volume; when set to anything other than 0, this value will be used in the calculation instead. (Note that for some organisations which use bought-in panels, panel volume is not counted as part of the timber volume calculations. If you are not sure, please contact EndtoEnd Support).
