Price Files: creating, publishing, and updating

  1. To access the Price File Editor, click the button within the Pricing & Config section of the integrateCORE module.
  2. On this page, you can do several things:
    1. Add a new price file to start making changes to pricing rules.
    2. Publish a price file to make that set of rules available for quotations.
    3. Update a published price file with newly added parts.
    4. Retire an old price file to prevent it from being used for future quotations.
  3. When you open the Price File Editor, it will open the newest Price File, whether that Price File has been published or not. If it has been published, it will have the message
If it's an open (unpublished) Price File, you will see the option for
  4. To add a new price file, click Price Files in the top right corner to expand the list, then click Add new price file. You can also switch to older Price Files from this menu in order to view their rules, update them with new parts (see below), or retire them.
  5. On an open price file, you will see the option to Publish here. Publishing a price file takes a snapshot of all the rules in the price file, plus all the rules in the Production Labour Time and Installation Time editors, and all the parts currently in the part list.
  6. After publishing a Price File, it can no longer be altered. However there are two exceptions to this:
    1. A price file can be Un-Published if there are no published quotes using that price file or if you are using price file 1 without a second price file being published.

    2. A price file can be updated using the Update with New Parts button.
Any part that has been added to the system since the Price  File was published can be added to the Price File this way. However, existing parts that have been modified will not be updated.
  7. A published price file can be retired using the Retire Price File button.

This will prevent it from being used for new quotes, but existing quotes on the old price will will be unaffected.
