Sub-domains/organisations

A sub-domain allows you to grant another organisation access to a version of your integrate system, which can produce quotes with different branding. This is useful for:

  • If you operate multiple brands, such as a residential and a commercial brand.
  • If you have agents or re-sellers for your products.
  • If you have multiple manufacturing sites.

A sub-domain is accessed via a slightly modified version of your integrate system's URL. For example, if your integrate URL was examplejoinery.work, a sub-domain for the commercial division might look like comm.examplejoinery.work.

Users can be restricted so that they can only log in through a specific sub-domain, and sub-domains can have a different selection of features enabled compared to the main domain.

To set up a sub-domain, please contact EndtoEnd with your requirements (support@endtoendit.com). Depending on the type of sub-organisation and the requirements, there may be a fee for implementation, plus additional monthly charges for any extra users added.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • "Can a sub-domain have its own branding?"

Yes, a sub-domain will have its own logo on the login screen, and the quote PDF will be customisable separately from the main organisation, meaning the layout and branding can be completely different.

  • "Can a sub-domain have its own pricing?"

Yes, separate pricing rules can be configured for each sub-domain. The system will decide which rules to apply based on which sub-domain you are currently logged in to.

  • "Can I restrict the margin (R number) available to agents on the quote matrix?

Yes.

  • "Do drawing templates have to be the same for each sub-domain ?"

Drawing templates can either be shared with the main organisation, or set up independently.

  • "What about email templates?"

As with drawing templates, email templates are shared with the main organisation by default, but sub-domains can be configured to use their own.

  • "My sub-domain won't need all the features that the main domain has. Will I still have to pay for them?"

No, the sub-domain can have reduced features..

  • "The sub-organisation isn't VAT registered. Can this be accommodated?"

Yes, a sub-domain can be configured with different VAT settings from the main domain.

  • "Do sub-domains have a separate Lead List?"

User access determines which leads are visible to each person. A user with access to all leads will be able to see leads belonging to all sub-domains in their Lead List, although they can filter by organisation. Users with restricted access will only be able to see their own sub-domain's leads in their Lead List.

  • "Will I need a separate user account for each sub-domain?"

No, it's possible to log in to all domains with a single account, although you can only log into one at once. The exception is if you want to use a different email account with each sub-domain (see below).

  • Can I connect a different email account to the sub-domain?

Yes, it's possible to do this. You can even have a Microsoft email account for one organisation and a Google account for another. However in this case, you will need to set up separate user accounts for the sub-domain.

  • Can a sub-domain have its own product ranges?

No, it's not currently possible to have separate ranges for a sub-domain.

  • Can a sub-domain have a separate list of glass options or hardware?

No, since the Part List is shared by all organisations. However we can set up a validation to prevent certain parts from being used on a particular sub-domain.

  • Can sub-domains be used for managing production across separate sites?

Yes: sub-domains can be set up as factories. Jobs in the production schedule are assigned to a particular factory, and each factory can view a filtered list of its own jobs.
