Batch updating drawing templates

Sometimes you may change the default values of a product range, for example sectional details, material, or paint finish. To ensure that your drawing templates are up to date with these changes, you can use the Batch update feature.

  1. Navigate to DrawingBoard Config (under Pricing & Config), then Drawing Template.
  2. Click Batch update on the right.
  3. Select which template groups  you wish to update. A batch update can take a while, so it's advisable to only select the templates that you need.
  4. Select which default values you wish to update for the selected templates. If you are unsure which category a default value falls under, you can check the Default Values page (DrawingBoard Config > Default Values).
  5. Click Start batch update.

Please note that the customer-facing ironmongery included with each template will not be affected by a batch update: this has to be updated manually by going into each drawing. The Ironmongery & Surround category just updates the tickboxes which determine whether an item has a MPLS. is a front door, etc.
